Customer Service Terms & Disclaimer

At GJ Mechanicals Ltd, we are committed to delivering the highest standards of service and workmanship. Please read the following terms carefully, which outline our responsibilities and your obligations when using our services.


1. Deposits & Payments

  • A deposit may be required before work commences.

  • Full payment must clear before or upon collection of the vehicle.


2. Customer-Supplied Parts

  • We do not accept any liability for parts supplied by the customer, whether new or used.

  • Should such parts cause damage to the vehicle, we will not be responsible for any consequential damage or loss.


3. Vehicle Storage

  • GJ Mechanicals Ltd does not accept liability for any damage or loss suffered during the storage of a vehicle at our premises.

  • Storage charges apply if the vehicle is not collected within two working days of work completion:

    • £10 per day for the first 4 days

    • £20 per day from the 5th day onwards
      This is due to limited on-site parking.


4. Delays & Parts Availability

  • If we are unable to carry out or complete the work due to non-availability or delay of parts, we will notify you promptly.

  • You may then choose to reschedule the work once the parts become available.


5. Electrical & Diagnostic Work

  • We are not liable for any issues arising from electrical work performed on the vehicle.

  • Diagnostic charges are non-refundable, regardless of whether repair work is carried out.


6. Special Orders & Cancelled Repairs

  • Customers must pay for any parts ordered at their request, even if they choose not to proceed with the repair.

  • A 20% handling charge will apply for cancelled parts.

  • Some parts are non-refundable, especially if they were specially ordered.


7. Parts Warranty

  • If a part purchased through us fails under warranty, we will replace the part.

  • However, labour charges for replacement will apply.


8. Force Majeure

  • We are not liable for delays or damages caused by events outside our control, including but not limited to:

    • Acts of God

    • Industrial action (e.g. strikes)

    • Governmental disputes

    • Any other unforeseen circumstances


9. Customer Property

  • We are not responsible for the loss or damage of any valuables left inside the vehicle that are not part of the vehicle itself.


10. Pre-existing Issues & Unforeseen Breakages

  • Every effort is made to work with care and attention. However, we will not be held liable for unavoidable breakages caused by:

    • Natural wear and tear

    • Mechanical, electrical, or software failure not visible prior to commencing work
